HAWLEY, Pa. — Sergio DePinto's dream began when he got his first train, Engine 1666, for Christmas. Every year since, he received additional train pieces from his father. As a boy, seeing model railroads inspired him to make his dream come true.
He now owns an exhibit that he still works on. He describes it as "a never-ending project." His exhibit features streets from old movies, a bustling valley, buildings, miniature people, and an extensive collection of trains.
DePinto's model railroad isn't finished and probably never will be. "All I hope to do is pay for the light bill and maintenance to keep it running," Sergio says.
