HARRISBURG, Pa. — For the first time in Farm Show history, hair enthusiasts took part in a competition for the best mullet.
Monday marked the first-ever mullet competition at the Pennsylvania Farm Show.
There were two age groups for the wacky, fun and friendly contest- under 18 and over 18.
Two-year-old Neil Finkenbinder won among the kids.
"Ever since he's been about six months old, he's had a lot of hair," said Neil's mom, Amber. "When he turned one, I didn't want to cut it. I wanted the curls to just keep on going so we just cut the sides of the front and ever since he's had a mullet so we don't know what he looks like without it!"
With Pa. taking home the crown in the 2023 USA Mullet Championships for women and kids, Farm Show officials say it's only fitting to have the first-ever Farm Show mullet competition.
