Suspect Nabbed in Drug Store Robbery

SCRANTON, Pa. – UPDATE: According to online court records, Nicholas Lepinski of New Jersey was charged with robbery, theft, receiving stolen property, and drug charges. 

In December 2019, he pleaded guilty in Lackawanna County to one count of theft. 

In March 2020, a judge sentenced Lepinski to five months to one year in jail followed by four years of probation.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. at the drug store on Moosic Street.

Police tell us Nicholas Lepinski, 29, of New Jersey, got painkillers from the pharmacist and took off.

Police said the pharmacist put a GPS tracker in the bag and Lepinski was arrested a short time later.
