DALLAS, Pa. -- Work is underway on a road in Luzerne County and it's scheduled to go on for months.
Crews began work Sunday night in the Back Mountain ripping up Route 309.
It's a busy stretch.
PennDOT plans to repave nine miles of it from the Luzerne exit all the way to where 309 splits with Route 415 in Dallas.
All of the work will be done at night.
PennDOT officials say the project will cost millions.
It's expected to wrap up in July.
Once this project is complete, PennDOT expects to move on to repaving Route 309 in the Mountain Top area.
