Lourdes Regional Girls Heading to Hershey

Another team is heading to Hershey for the state championships! This time it's the girls from Lourdes Regional.

The Lourdes Regional girls basketball team beat the defending state champions from Jenkintown, beating the Lady Drakes 32-25 in the PIAA Class "A" Semifinal.

So, the ladies from Lourdes Regional are going to the state title game.

"It's just a dream come true. I was at Hershey my freshman year and just to come back to finish it all up at," said Sierra Coleman. "Hershey and maybe win, it's going to be amazing. it means everything to me, everything to my team. it's just wonderful."

The PIAA Class "A" Championship in Hershey is set for this Friday, March 22.

They will face off with Berlin at noon.

The other local girls' team going to Hershey is Dunmore. The Lady Bucks also going to the state title game.

It could be the first state championship in program history.
