WILKES-BARRE, Pa. -- Police in one part of Luzerne County believe a shooting Monday morning was targeted.
It happened around 11 a.m. along Lockhart Street in Wilkes-Barre.
Officials say shots were fired into the left side of the double-unit home.
"I was watching TV, and I heard six loud bangs, like popping sounds, so I got up and looked out my window, and my neighbor across the street was doing the same thing, so I thought it must have been something," said Lauren Mensch.
The police chief tells Newswatch 16 someone drove by the left side of a duplex on the street and fired multiple shots inside. People were inside at the time, but no one was hurt.
"I didn't know what it was. I had no idea. I've never really heard that noise. I've never really heard gunshots like that, so I didn't really know that that was what it was."
This is at least the third incident of gunfire that has happened in Wilkes-Barre in a week.
The first happened on February 12. Two women from Scranton were found shot in a car on South Main street. Police have named three people of interest in the case.
The second shooting happened Saturday on Bowman Street. Police say a person was shot. No arrests have been made in any of the shootings yet.
Mensch says her street is usually quiet.
"To me, it seems like it has been. Nothing really has happened since we've moved in."
Police say all three of the shootings have been targeted attacks. They're asking you to call them if you have information about any of them.
