JIM THORPE, Pa. — A mother is accused of badly beating her four-year-old son in Carbon County.
State police say Ashlyn McCartney of Jim Thorpe assaulted the little boy earlier this month.
He wound up in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
McCartney is behind bars charged with aggravated assault and child endangerment.
