LOWER MAHANOY TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A death investigation is underway in Northumberland County after a kayaker spotted a man's body.
The kayaker spotted the body on Ziegler Island in the Susquehanna River near Dalmatia around 7 p.m. Saturday, according to state police.
State police say the body was "badly decomposed," and was likely in the river for several months.
Investigators are looking into the man's identity and how he died.
