SCRANTON -- A man was arraigned Thursday on charges of rape and assault in Scranton.
Police say John Hughes, 40, called the county 911 center back in September threating to "slash" everyone in his home.
Hughes then told officers he was mentally unwell and admitted to raping a woman two weeks earlier.
Hughes is set to be in court next week in Lackawanna County.
