Flames Rip Home in Summit Hill

SUMMIT HILL -- Fire damaged a home in Carbon County Tuesday afternoon.

It broke out in the home in the 100 block of West Hazard Street in Summit Hill after noon.

Smoke from the fire could be seen miles away.

Crews said two people live in the home, a woman and her son. The woman was home at the time of the fire and was taken to a hospital to be checked out.

There is no word on the cause.
