SCRANTON -- Emergency responders faced off in a game of charity football in Scranton on Sunday.

Scranton's police officers and firefighters took to the indoor field at the Riverfront Sports Complex along West Olive Street for their annual matchup called "Guns vs. Hoses."

Every year, the fun fundraiser benefits a different cause. This year it benefits the Scranton Veterans Center, which helps area veterans with everything from food to counseling for issues such as PTSD.

We asked one of the organizers which team traditionally has the edge.

"Unfortunately over the years, the firefighters have taken us, (but) we have some new guys on both sides," Scranton Police Officer Aimée Redd said.

Along with the game, there was a marching band, basket raffles, and face painting.
