SCRANTON -- Lackawanna County officials took a tour around the former Globe Store Wednesday.
The county purchased it in April with plans to turn it into a consolidated set of county offices called the "Lackawanna County Government Center at the Globe."
County officials say the project is still in the design phase and construction should begin in about eight months.
The annual holiday marketplace, that was held at The Marketplace at Steamtown last year, will be held on the first floor of the Globe building on the first weekend of December.
