SCRANTON -- Dozens of bikers revved their engines in memory of a Scranton police officer killed in the line of duty last year.

The second annual Never Forgotten Ride was held at the Parker House Tavern on East Parker Street in Scranton Saturday in memory of Officer John Wilding.

Money raised at the ride goes to a scholarship fund for law enforcement cadets and will support other first responders in times of need.

"What we are trying to do now is make people understand that behind every fallen officer there are people who care and who grieve, and we're just trying to keep John's memory alive," said Mary Wilding, Officer Wilding's mother.

Following the ride, participants and their families enjoyed food, music, and raffles in Scranton.
