SCRANTON -- Matt Burne Honda announced the first annual Lackawanna County teacher of the year award.
The award will honor one teacher in the county who has positively impacted the lives of students.
High school students can submit an essay online to nominate a teacher. The winning teacher will receive a Honda Civic LX and $2,500 dollar scholarship will go to the student who nominates the winning teacher.
The winners will be announced in May.
