For 32 years the Benton Rodeo Association has put on quite a show.

Country music fills the air while riders fill the arena. Rawhide Rodeo is behind all the pageantry and pizzazz.

"Oh! I love doing it. It all flows well. It's a professional rodeo," said Doug Simcox.

Doug Simcox is the rodeo announcer.

"I love the sport of rodeo. It's as simple as that. I simply enjoy rodeo. I love being entertained. I love the crowds that come here," added Doug.

"We'll I 'm a second generation rodeo clown so growing up as a kid I was doing it. Now professionally I 've been on the road since I 've been 15 going all over the place. In school my teacher told me acting like a clown would get you no where in life," said Trent McFarland.

Benton Rodeo president Mel Parks enjoys bringing the entertainment to the fans.

"We'll they come from all over the country anymore. They are not just local people. They have some local people who compete, then we have the ones who come from New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina," said Mel.

It's been 32 years for the Benton Rodeo Association putting on some high-class entertainment. You can find bare bronc riding, steer wrestling and calf roping just some of the events here at the Benton Rodeo.

"There we go feet on the ground. Pick the cowboy up...Rocky Top Tennessee...A quick catch....There's miss Tammy," again said Doug.

This year's specialty act are trick riders Cassie Bastian and Josey Kelley the dynamic dames.

"That's Miss Josey spinning the horn bull. Check it out," added Doug.

"It's a lot of hours spent behind the scenes that the spectators don't see working with the horses and finding good horses. Rain, sleet, shine we are out there working them training them," said Cassie.

The cowboys and cowgirls put on quite a show whether it was on a bull or around a barrel. The rodeo rolled on again in Benton.
