SCRANTON -- Concerns about lead in drinking water were the focus of a meeting Tuesday morning in Scranton.
Congressman Matt Cartwright and other leaders addressed the issue in light of the situation in Flint, Michigan.
At a meeting in Washington earlier this month, Cartwright blasted the governor of Michigan for not doing more to protect the people of his state.
The state DEP says public water systems in Pennsylvania are monitored; however the state has no control over lead pipes leading into homes.
Officials said if residents are concerned, they should get their water tested.
