(CNN) — Midwest Region No. 10-seed Syracuse moved into the Final Four in the NCAA men’s college basketball tournament Sunday, downing No. 1-seed Virginia 68-62.

Syracuse will play the winner of Sunday’s second game — which matches East Region No. 1 North Carolina and No. 6 Notre Dame — next Saturday in Houston.

Scranton native Gerry McNamara is an assistant coach with the Syracuse Men’s Basketball Team.

McNamara played high school basketball at Bishop Hannan High School.

He then went on to Syracuse University, where as a freshman he helped lead the then Orangemen to a National Championship in 2003.

In 2013, McNamara was an assistant coach for the Orange which was the last time Cuse was in the Final Four.
