Update: State Police Investigating After Man’s Body Found in Poconos, Death Ruled Homicide

JACKSON TOWNSHIP — State police say a man whose body was found in Monroe County was intentionally killed.

Troopers said the body of Demetrio Hughes, 24, of Mount Pocono was found Wednesday afternoon in a wooded area near Tannersville.

On Thursday, his death was ruled a homicide.

State police are continuing to investigate and ask anyone with information to call the Fern Ridge barracks at 570-646-2271.

    If they looked real hard in the woods up there in mount pocono…..they’d most likely find more dead bodies….this is like a normal occurrence up there these days. The area has obviously changed.
