SCRANTON -- A person was struck and killed by a train Thursday morning in Scranton.
It happened around 11 a.m. in the tunnel near Harrison Avenue and Laurel Line Drive.
Ambulance crews, firefighters, and police are using Laurel Line Drive to access the tunnel where the person was hit by the train.
The tunnel is used for trolley excursions, along with other freight train traffic.
The name of the victim has not been released.
