SCRANTON -- A smokestack that stood tall for decades came crumbling down Sunday morning in Scranton.
The old smokestack on North Washington Avenue crumbled to the ground just after 7 a.m.
The steam heat plant was shut down almost 20 years ago and is in the process of being torn down.
Demolition in Scranton is scheduled to wrap up in about a month.
