LOCK HAVEN --  Dozens of performers shined on stage Friday in Clinton County.

Little performers from Ashley Sterbank’s autistic support class at Bellefonte Elementary took to the stage at Kent's Fest in Lock Haven.

"It was awesome, it was so exciting they did such a great job. They practiced so hard and they just did so amazing,” said Ashley Sterbanks from Bellefonte Elementary.

Music, smiles, and plenty of hugs were shared at the 14th annual talent show in memory of Lock Haven alumni Kent Glossner. Glossner, a special education teacher had a passion for music and helping people with disabilities.

"I want to perform on stage,” said Stevie Karstetter from Jersey Shore.

"It's a big celebration just it celebrates the talents and abilities of individuals with disabilities. Everybody comes here and they play different instruments and they sing," said Erica Moore from Lock Haven University.

Over 500 people packed into the east campus gymnasium to see groups of students and adults from all over central Pennsylvania take the stage.

"I like it because the people that go on stage are silly. They dress up really cool," said Natalie Sim from Bellefonte Elementary.

Event coordinators say every year the crowd gets bigger and bigger. By next year they don't think they will be able to fit in the gym. They will have to move to another place on campus for Kent's Fest.

"It's amazing to see the impact that it has on the community,"

Kent's family comes to support the performers every year.

"They enjoy coming here and watch him be honored," said Larry Glossner.

"Just as individuals who need love and support, it’s just a great opportunity for them to show their abilities and shine their light," said Bower.

These performers shine their light by just being themselves.
