MOOSIC -- Saturday's date, 3/14, is celebrated all over the world as "Pi Day." Pi is the mathematical number used to find a circle's circumference.
So, that meant free pie from the Gerrity's in Moosic.
The Greek letter pi has a mathematical value of about 3.14 and goes on into infinity.
Gerrity's gave away a free slice of pie to everyone that came in and knew why today is "Pi Day."
Saturday's "Pi Day" is extra special because it only occurs once a century.
The first ten numbers of pi exactly match the time on March 14, 2015 at 9:26 a.m. and 53 seconds.
