WEST PENN TOWNSHIP -- Police say the shooting and wounding of a woman in Schuylkill County is actually an accidental shooting by people suspected of poaching deer.
It happened around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
Officers say a rifle held by Raymond Meyers from Lehighton went off and a bullet hit Kimberly Kokinda from Lansford in the back.
It happened as the pair sat in a car along Roads End Road near Tamaqua.
Kokinda is still in a hospital.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission is now handling the investigation.
