Thieves Hit Two Stores, Steal Cigarettes

State Police in Northumberland County said a burglar used a rock to smash out a window at "Great Value" on Route 54 in Turbotville, and then took several cartons of cigarettes.

Anyone with information is asked to call State Police in Northumberland County.

In Lycoming County, police believe a man shown in surveillance pictures used a concrete block to smash the glass door of "Puff's Discount Cigarette Store" near Williamsport around 2 o'clock Saturday morning.

Once he was inside the store,  officers said the burglar filled two trash cans with cigarettes and took off.
