LAKEWOOD — Fire destroyed a large garage on New Year’s Eve in Wayne County.
According to fire officials, it started before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in a garage off Equinunk Creek Road in Lakewood.
Crews said ice and snow at the scene made fighting the fire difficult.
The Northern Wayne Fire Company Chief said it took about three hours to put out the fire.
No one was hurt.
A state police fire marshal ruled the fire accidental.
