OLD FORGE — An Old Forge police captain accused of sexually abusing a young woman when she was 15 is no longer a member of the police department.

The mayor tells Newswatch 16 that Jamie Krenitsky sent the borough a letter of resignation Friday.

Krenitsky has been suspended without pay since 2012, shortly after his arrest.

He and Police Chief Larry Semenza are scheduled to stand trial this fall.
