Former students and friends of Cody Barrasse got together for a meeting to discuss the upcoming 3 on 3 basketball tournament to be held at Scranton Prep high-school on Saturday August 10th in Cody's name.
Barrasse a 2009 Scranton Prep graduate was killed in a tragic accident near the University of Pittsburgh back in April.
The Scranton Prep community will build a scholarship in his name and has already received up to 50 teams to compete in this upcoming basketball tournament and now have over 70 sponsors from around the Scranton area and Lackawanna County helping out.
Friends of Cody hope this will be a successful event for everyone every year. They have three divisions for boy's starting with 7th grade thru 9th and on up plus different girl's divisions.
