WESTFIELD — A man and a woman are dead in Tioga County, with one of them killed by a police officer.
Troopers told Newswatch 16 that 51-year-old Barry Mead barged into 34-year-old Vicki Copp’s apartment in Westfield and shot her with a shotgun on Friday. Troopers added Mead and Copp were once in a relationship.
When police arrived, Mead refused to drop his weapon and was shot by an officer. Both Mead and Copp were pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is still under investigation in Tioga County.
