One Taken To The Hospital And Several Injured After Pit Bull Attack

HAZLETON — One person was taken to the hospital Saturday morning after he was bit by a dog.

Police said they arrived to 11th and Locust Street in Hazleton around 9 a.m., after hearing reports of a the pit bull running around loose and biting several people.

According to officials, while police attempted to take dog into custody, they had to taser it three times when it aggressively went after them.

The dog was taken into custody by the animal shelter and placed in quarantine, and it’s owner will be cited for the city animal ordinance.
