SCRANTON -- Senator Bob Casey is going after his second term in Washington.

The senator and his family walked from their Scranton home to their polling place at Myrtle Street United Methodist Church around 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Casey spoke with Newswatch 16 after casting his ballot.

"I'd been really privileged to have another term in The united States Senate. I've been privileged to serve in three public offices and no matter what happens today, I've been pretty fortunate."

Casey is opposed by Republican Tom Smith from western Pennsylvania.

The senator tells us he'll spend the rest of the day campaigning and visiting polling places, before an election night party in downtown Scranton.
