KINGSTON -- Authorities in Luzerne County said they are investigating two former doctors, a brother and sister.
Investigators said Deborah McMenamin and her brother, David Rigle, may have bilked a man out of $20,000 for an expert medical report he said he never received.
Detectives took records and computer equipment from a property on John Street in Kingston late Tuesday afternoon.
They said McMenamin and Rigle were doctors, but no longer have medical licenses.
"To our knowledge, the doctors are no longer licensed. They were holding themselves out as licensed physicians. They were supposedly preparing an expert report for a certain medical case. That report never came," said Assistant Luzerne County District Attorney Sam Sanguedolce.
McMenamin refused to comment after being questioned at the Kingston Police Department.
