BENTON — A police officer accused of taking hundreds of dollars from a migrant worker during a traffic stop pleaded guilty in Columbia County.
Christopher Brock pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors — official oppression & tampering with official records — for an incident in Benton, on August 26, 2010.
Investigators said Brock of Orangeville took nearly $700 from a migrant worker during a traffic stop.
The district attorney said Brock has been suspended from his jobs at a state prison and the police department.
He will be sentenced at a later time in Columbia County.
