NEW MILFORD TOWNSHIP -- A controversial waste incinerator project in Susquehanna County is on hold.
Tyler Corners, LP wants to purchase a 114-acre piece of land near New Milford where the incinerator would be built. The company says the project is on hold while more planning is done.
People in the community had opposed the plan over health concerns.
Construction of an industrial park on the land near the Gibson exit on Interstate 81 is also on hold.
