LIBERTY TOWNSHIP -- Troopers say a woman will spend at least 17 years in prison for a deadly shooting in Tioga County.

According to state police, Debra Lockett pleaded no contest Friday to third degree murder in the shooting death of Oliver Litzelman, 82, in September 2013. A judge sentenced her to 17 to 34 years in prison.

Lockett was also accused of stabbing and assaulting Litzelman's wife Edwina at their home near Liberty.

Edwina Litzelman survived the attack.

Last May, a judge ruled there was enough evidence for Lockett to go to trial on homicide and assault charges.

By pleading no contest, Lockett does not admit guilt, but was sentenced as if she were guilty.
