SCRANTON — The man injured when his son allegedly set fire to their home in Scranton has died.

The coroner said James Brown died Tuesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.

Brown was injured in a fire at his home on Rockwell Avenue last month.

A few days after the fire, police arrested Brown’s son Kevin and charged him with arson and attempted homicide.

The Lackawanna County district attorney’s office has not decided if it will amend the charges against Kevin Brown.
