Fire Hits Scranton Home

SCRANTON — One person was taken to the hospital after fire hit a home in Scranton.

It happened around 3 p.m. Friday at a home in the 2000 block of Rockwell Avenue.

Firefighters said the home is heavily damaged.

Crews at the scene said one person was taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, and two firefighters were treated for minor burns.

There is no word on the cause.

Police made an arrest in the case Monday.
