Man Charged After Luzerne County Shooting

PLAINS — A man turned himself in Tuesday to face charges for a shooting in Luzerne County.

Christopher Bohonko, 31, of Plains went before a magistrate in Trucksville.

He was charged with recklessly endangering another person and simple assault for allegedly shooting Dorothy Sarnick, 73, in her car at Solomon/ Plains Junior High School on Sunday night. 

Bohonko claims it was an accident. He told police he was trying to shoot a woodchuck near his house.
