TOWANDA — A judge ruled Monday that the man accused of murdering two people in Bradford County is not competent to stand trial at this time.
John DeSisti, of Waverly, New York, is accused of killing his cousin Carol Keeffe and her husband David near Athens in 2006.
Back in March of this year, the state attorney general’s office ruled that since DeSisti is in his mid-70s, they would not seek the death penalty.
DeSisti remains locked up in the Bradford County prison.
