MOOSIC -- The Lackawanna County District Attorney's office tells Newswatch 16 the man barricaded inside a motel room in Lackawanna County surrendered to authorities.
Assistant District Attorney Gene Talerico says the man slit his wrists and will be taken to the hospital for treatment but no one else was harmed during this three-hour ordeal.
Officials say the man is suspected to have robbed the Wells Fargo bank on Meadow Avenue in Scranton earlier today.
No word on whether he was armed during Wednesday night's standoff with police.
