Gerry McNamara's Siena Saints defeat Bucknell in McNamara's return to NEPA

McNamara played in the last DI Men's Basketball game played in Wilkes-Barre, and just secured a win in the same arena as a head coach, 19 years later.

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — The last Division I Men's Basketball game played in Wilkes-Barre was December 27th, 2005, when the Syracuse Orange defeated Townson 86-52.

The Scranton native, Gerry McNamara, was a player on that Syracuse team. Now, as the head coach of the Siena Saints, McNamara is once again victorious after a game in the Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza.

Siena defeated the Bucknell Bison 71-58 Saturday night in front of McNamara's home crowd, snapping a four-game losing streak.
