NEW ORLEANS, La. -- A business owner from Schuylkill County was found dead Thursday morning in a New Orleans hotel room. Police think it's a case of homicide.
A business associate tells Newswatch 16 the victim was Patrick Murphy, owner of Murphy Jewelers in Pottsville.
Police in New Orleans say he was stabbed to death at a hotel early Thursday morning, and that his death is a case of homicide.
Megen Hall, 25, is considered a suspect in the killing. Police have not said if Hall and Murphy knew each other.
According to officials, an arrest warrant has been issued for Hall on charges of second-degree murder.
So far, there's no word from officials on what led to that deadly stabbing in New Orleans.
