MONTOURSVILLE, Pa. — A man from Georgia is facing child sex charges in Lycoming County after allegedly luring a teen into an online relationship.
Eric Burton, age 44, allegedly enticed a teenage girl, age 13, of Montoursville to send him explicit photos and videos. Burton told the victim he was 15.
Investigators found that Burton was a high school social studies teacher from Kennesaw, Georgia.
He is charged with the corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, along with other related sexual offenses.
Burton is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on January 18, 2025.
He is currently held at the Lycoming County Prison.
