WILLIAMSPORT -- The Williamsport Millionaire Baseball team got in one last practice before this weekend's Backyard Brawl, which is an annual baseball tournament held at Historic Bowman Field on West Fourth Street.
"Montoursville High School, Loyalsock High School, South Williamsport and Williamsport. They get together every year at Bowman Field, get together and just have a little Backyard Brawl," Scott Robinson said.
But this year will be a different experience for the kids and their families, instead of Historic Bowman Field.
The tournament will be held here, at Logue Field, which is where the Williamsport Millionaires play their home games.
"It's definitely a let-down because ever since freshman year we look forward to playing at Bowman Field," said Aaron Webber.
"The bragging rights to have Bowman Field for the winner of the Backyard Brawl. That's huge for everyone around here," Austin Robinson said.
"You work hard all season. This is the final tournament, the final go. To play here is just kind-of a let-down," said Owen Lukens.
Williamsport Mayor Gabe Campana said crews are in the process of repairing Historic Bowman Field, which was damaged by an ice hockey rink.
The mayor of Williamsport said the field is not in good enough condition to play all four games here, but if Mother Nature cooperates, the championship game could be played at Historic Bowman Field.
The players said it would be nice to have the championship game at Bowman Field, but the tournament will go on either way.
"We're still going to go out and play hard, it's just not the same as Bowman Field," Lukens said.
Mayor Campana said the final decision will be made Saturday morning.
