SALEM TOWNSHIP -- The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has approved an emissions plan for a proposed natural gas power plant in Luzerne County.
Moxie Energy of Virginia wants to build the plant in Salem Township, near Berwick.
It's expected to produce up to 900 megawatts of electricity.
Some residents oppose the plan noting that they already live in the shadows of the nuclear power plant in Luzerne County.
