LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — Flames broke out at the home on Sunrise Court in Hazel Township around 11 a.m. Sunday morning.
When crews arrived, they saw smoke surrounding the house and called for more help with getting enough water to put out the flames.
Officials say the fire started in the kitchen of the home, adding that they put out the flames in about 15 minutes.
"The fire was in a smaller cottage-style home, an older home; the fire was confined to the kitchen area. It appears electrical," said Chief Scott Kostician, Hazle Township.
The residents of the home were out by the time crews arrived on scene.
Nobody was hurt in that fire in Luzerne County.
