WEATHERLY, Pa. — It was Christmas at Eckley Miners’ Village in Luzerne County on Sunday.
The historic mining town played host to all kinds of holiday activities, along with children's crafting and a basket raffle.
There were also historical displays and several local vendors.
Organizers said the holiday event was a good way to share the history of the town with the community.
"It's cool to see them come out, get to get some of the history, the knowledge and just get to see them have fun,” said Zoe Kilng, Eckley Miners’ Village. “Get them to experience what life was like and hopefully they have a fun time doing it.”
Eckley Miners’ Village has been operating as a museum since 1970 in Luzerne County.
