SCRANTON -- It didn't take long for the Viewmont Mall in Lackawanna County to find a replacement for Sears.
The mall's managers made it official Tuesday that Dick's Sporting Goods and Field & Stream will take over the space that Sears now occupies.
The hope is for the stores to be in the space by the 2017 holiday shopping season.
Dick's will move from its current location in Dickson City near the mall.
Sears announced last week it's pulling out of the Viewmont Mall this summer.
