The Friends of St. Kieran’s are devoted to the historical preservation of St. Kieran’s Parish located in the historic Irish Valley of the northeast Pennsylvania anthracite coal region. St. Kieran’s Church was closed in June, 2008.
Like many others, St. Kieran’s is a casualty in the widespread restructuring and consolidation of Roman Catholic churches currently underway in America.
