CLINTON COUNTY, Pa. — State police say Jakob Haines, 21, of Beech Creek, was shot to death Friday night.
Clinton County Coroner Zach Hanna says Haines died from a close-contact gunshot wound to the chest. He has ruled the manner of death as a homicide.
State police have arrested Brian St. John, 19, of Woodward Township.
According to the Clinton County District Attorney, St. John faces charges related to criminal homicide and aggravated assault.
The shooting happened on Brewery Hill Road in Woodward Township, near Lock Haven.
In court documents, St. John told police he was having a gathering at this home on Brewery Hill Road where they were messing around with a gun.
St. John then pointed the gun at Haines and fired.
St. John was denied bail. He is locked up in Clinton County.
