EAST PENN TOWNSHIP — A man charged with killing a bald eagle in Carbon County has pleaded guilty.
Carl Marion, 46, of Lehighton entered the guilty plea for one count of disturbance of wildlife or game. It is not a serious charge, only a summary offense.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission said Marion shot the bird near the Carbon/Schuylkill County line last month. Wildlife Conservation Officers said they also found the remains of 5 blue herons in the vicinity of his property.
